Choosing your treatment depends upon:
Patients with darker skin types cannot be exposed to high energy laser or IPL treatments due to the risk of burning and darkening of skin pigment.
Similarly, patients who are unable or unwilling to have red, swollen skin for a few days after a strong laser or IPL cannot be treated with high energy treatments.
At the time of your initial consultation, we will be able to advise you about the best treatment option for you based on the factors mentioned above.
This depends upon the type of treatment chosen for you by your clinician. Some high energy treatments may fix the problem in as little as one session. For low energy treatments, multiple sessions (3 to 5) are usually required.
Most patients find Laser or IPL treatments somewhat uncomfortable but not intolerably painful. At Medaesthetics® we make sure our patients can experience treatments as painlessly as possible. To achieve this, we utilise:
UV radiations from excessive sun exposure are the reason why you have freckles and sun damaged skin. It is critical to avoid direct sun exposure after any skin treatment for the first few days and then use sun protective clothing, headgear and sunscreens to prevent future sun damage.
"Art, indeed, consists in the conception of the result to be produced before its realisation in the material." - Aristotle
The practice of aesthetic medicine and surgery is as much an art as it is a science. The aesthetic sense of a clinician in evaluating a patient is as important as his or her clinical skills. At Medisculpt®, our philosophy is to artistically enhance your appearance in a way that stresses elegance over glamour.
