Overview of Mini Labiaplasty
Mini Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the size of the inner labia (Labia Minora). Women with this concern may complain of self-consciousness, local irritation and discomfort due to the presence of extra tissue.
Unlike traditional labiaplasty, the Mini Labiaplasty technique involves the trimming of excess inner labia skin only. As such, the clitoral hooding and outer labia (Labia Majora) are not surgically manipulated.
The significantly less invasive nature of this technique using CO2 Laser or Radio-wave surgery entails a quicker recovery and less risk of complications (as compared to the scalpel incision technique). Dr Ehsan Jadoon is one of the very few cosmetic surgeons in Perth to offer this technique.

They want to choose a doctor who is able to listen to them carefully and understand their concerns. A doctor who's surgical skills delivers effective and hassle-free results with minimal discomfort and downtime.
Dr Ehsan Jadoon has successfully performed countless Mini Labiaplasty surgeries in Perth and is renowned for achieving natural-looking results with high patient satisfaction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Excess skin is first marked using a surgical marking pen. The patient actively participates in the marking process to make sure they are happy with the amount of excess tissue being removed.
We routinely perform this procedure under permitted doses of local anaesthesia while the patient is fully conscious.
We also offer this procedure under twilight sedation at an accredited day hospital in East Perth if the patient prefers to be asleep during the surgery. (Additional costs are associated with this option).
Patients tolerate this surgery extremely well and are pleasantly surprised at how quick and pain-free the whole procedure is.
Strong numbing cream is applied to the treatment area followed by a tiny needle for local anesthetic. Once the treatment area has been numbed, patients will be unable to feel any pain.
At Medaesthetics, we make every effort to ensure that every procedure we perform entails minimal pain or discomfort.
The Mini Labiaplasty procedure takes approximately 60 to 120 minutes.
Following Mini Labiaplasty, the treated area remains a bit tender and swollen for the first few days. Oral pain killers are helpful and most patients tolerate any discomfort extremely well.
We suggest icing the area intermittently for the first 48 hours to reduce any swelling.
It is critical to have complete bed rest for the first three days after the surgery to give the healing tissue maximum chance to heal without any complications.
If possible, have a friend or family member stay with you for the first three days who can help you with daily house chores so that you don't have to get up and walk around the house.
Patients can choose to have Sitz Baths to help with any discomfort. More information on this will be provided to you in your post-surgical instructions.
It is essential the keep the treated area meticulously clean. Female sanitary pads should be worn for several days to keep the area dry as much as possible.
We review patients three days after their surgery for follow-up. LED Healite therapy is extremely useful during the healing phase and helps reduce swelling and inflammation.
Initial healing takes place over the first two weeks but full recovery can take up four to six weeks. During this period, patients should refrain from exercise and sexual intercourse.
There is no visible scar once the area has fully healed.
Most patients can return to office-based work after the first seven days. We recommend at least two to four weeks off if your work involves prolonged physical activity, walking or travelling.
A medical certificate can be organised, which will not mention the name of your procedure for privacy reasons.
Light activity is permitted after the first seven days. Regular exercise and long walks are only permitted once the area has fully healed.
Like any surgical procedure, this procedure comes with possible risks and complications that include, but are not limited to:
- Inadequate correction
- Swelling and discomfort
- Delayed healing and unfavourable scarring
- Nerve irritation and numbness
- Temporary skin discolouration in the incision lines
For the added peace of mind, we offer free follow-ups to all our surgical patients until they are fully healed.
To be considered suitable for undergoing any elective cosmetic procedure, you have to:
- Be physically fit and active.
- Have a balanced and healthy diet.
- Be of sound emotional/mental health.
- Have realistic expectations of the outcome.
- Should be able to afford the procedure without getting into any financial distress.
We recommend that you do all your grocery shopping before surgery and restock your fridge and pantry with healthy food. We also recommend that you organise for someone to give you a lift back home as driving is not recommended for the first few days after the surgery. You should also consider arranging for a family member or friend to stay with you for the first few days after your surgery.
Additionally, ensure that you avoid blood-thinning medication such as Nurofen, aspirin, heparin and warfarin. Please discuss this with your general practitioner in detail and make sure you are aware of any side effects of your current medication.
Herbal medication and nutritional supplements such as St John’s Wart, garlic, ginger, ginseng, fish oil, and homeopathic or herbal tonics should also be ceased for at least two weeks before your surgery. These substances are known for their potential to thin blood and as such, may cause excessive bleeding during and after the surgery.
It is imperative that you follow the pre-surgical instructions given to you by our staff. Alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking are two primary culprits when it comes to increasing potential risks associated with any surgery. Please avoid these harmful agents for at least two weeks (or more) before your surgery.
Consumption of alcohol and cigarettes:
- Interfere with the body's natural healing processes.
- Increase the pain and discomfort associated with any operation.
- Increase the risk of potential complications such as bleeding, wound infection and scarring.
- Prolong the recovery time.
Please avoid consuming any blood-thinning agents such as Nurofen, Aspirin, Fish Oil, Garlic, Ginseng, Green Tea etc at least seven days before your surgery.
In clinical practice, we have found that a herbal substance called Arnica is helpful in reducing bleeding during or after the surgery. It also aids healing and minimises bruising. This naturally occurring herb is available in the form of oral supplements and is found in most health food stores and pharmacies in Australia.
Above all, a healthy lifestyle, good sleep and a balanced nutritional diet after surgery are essential factors for optimum healing.
Mini Labiaplasty procedure fees vary from person to person depending upon the extent of correction required. The average price is between $3800 and $4500 (all-inclusive).
