Overview of Temporal Brow Lift

Eyebrows are essential facial anatomical structures. The size and position of eyebrows are genetically determined. In females, the eyebrows have a distinct arched shape whereas in men they tend to be straight.

As we age, the position and shape of eyebrows change, and they become saggy. This is due to the soft tissue volume loss and musculoskeletal changes in the orbital area.

Mini Brow lift (also called the Temporal Brow Lift) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure where the outer arch of the eyebrows is lifted to give the eyes a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Dr Jadoon specialises in Mini Browlift surgery in Perth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Temporal Brow Lift surgery is a cosmetic procedure which lifts the sagging outer eyebrows to a higher position to give a more youthful and rested appearance.

At Medaesthetics, Temporal brow lift surgery is carried out as a day procedure. The procedure involves the creation of two strategically placed elliptical excisions in the hairline in each temple area above the outer (lateral) portion of each brow. These excisions are closed using absorbable sutures and instantly lift the outer eyebrows.

The procedure is performed under local anesthetic in under two hours.

Brow lifting is frequently combined with other rejuvenating procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and facelift surgery.

Patients are not able to feel any pain once the local anesthetics kicks in.

The most significant advantage of Temporal Browlift is the small incisions which are hidden in the hair. Once healed, there is no visible scarring.

Fortunately, the risk of significant, long-lasting complications in brow lifting surgery is very small. Like any facial surgery, the potential risks include:
  • Bleeding/ swelling/ bruising
  • Nerve irritation/ trauma
  • Delayed wound healing
  • Under or over-correction
  • Scarring (Inside the hairline)
With the careful patient selection and proper surgical techniques, these potential risks are minimal.

Patients tolerate the procedure extremely well and can go home right after the surgery. Oral painkillers and antibiotics are routinely prescribed after the procedure. The bruising and swelling associated with the surgery settles within the first ten to fourteen days.

Pricing starts from $6500 (all-inclusive).

The Medaesthetics Difference

"Art, indeed, consists in the conception of the result to be produced before its realisation in the material." - Aristotle

The practice of aesthetic medicine and surgery is as much an art as it is a science. The aesthetic sense of a clinician in evaluating a patient is as important as his or her clinical skills. At Medisculpt®, our philosophy is to artistically enhance your appearance in a way that stresses elegance over glamour.
