What Are Collagen Bio-Stimulating Injections?

Collagen Bio-Stimulators are used to replace lost volume and lift areas of the face that have dropped or deflated over time, and to create lift, but in a slightly different way. Just like dermal fillers, Collagen Bio-Stimulators are a watery compound made up of a TGA approved, prescription-only collagen-stimulating ingredient which triggers natural collagen production within the skin it is placed in.

Treatment Summary

No. of Treatments

Usually, two treatments is sufficient in most cases, 12 weeks apart (2 vials per session).
Some patients may choose a 3rd treatment for additional benefit.

Procedure Time

Usually 30 minutes.

Discomfort Level

Minimal discomfort.
Strong numbing cream is applied to the treatment area prior to each treatment.

Recovery Time

There is usually no downtime.
As with all injectable treatment there is a risk of bruising at the site of injection.

Results

Results are noticeable 8 weeks after the first treatment, with best results visible after the second treatment.

Duration of Results

Because its your own collagen, results will last 12-18 months.

Resumption of Usual Activities

Immediately for most light activities.
Avoid strenuous exercise for first 24-48 hours.
