Dermal Fillers For Chin & Jawline

Facial contouring using dermal fillers is one of our most popular treatments in Perth with many people opting to have a more balanced facial profile.

A well-defined chin and jawline are perceived as aesthetically pleasing to many. Anyone who feels they are lacking these attributes is now able to have these areas augmented non-surgically using dermal fillers. Before the advent of dermal fillers, this was only possible with surgery.

The treatment involves injecting 1 to 4 mL of dermal filler gel into key areas in the chin and jawline using a gentle cannula technique. Patients can opt just to have the chin, or the jawline treated. Treatments can be tailored made to suit patients’ clinical requirements and budgets.

Dermal fillers (including jawline and chin filler) are effective, relatively affordable and offer little to no downtime. There are, however, some side effects associated with poorly performed jawline and chin filler procedures. It is, therefore, vital that you choose a provider based on their experience, skill and reputation and not just on marketing hype or discount pricing.

How To Choose Your Treatment Provider

Making the decision to undergo any cosmetic treatment can be confusing and cause worry for some people. We understand that it can be tough to find the right clinician who you can trust.

MedAesthetics advises that, above all, you should seek a clinician who can listen to your concerns carefully and understand exactly what you want to achieve. Try to find someone who you are confident has the clinical skills to deliver effective and hassle-free results with minimal discomfort or downtime.

We recommend that patients do proper due diligence before choosing their treatment provider and strongly advise against basing the decision solely on the pricing, marketing or discounts.

Potential Risks & Complications

All cosmetic procedures carry potential risks, complications, and treatment limitations. We advise patients to seek independent advice from an independent, appropriately qualified medical doctor before thinking about any type of cosmetic enhancement.

Who is a good candidate for Chin and Jawline augmentation?

Anyone wanting to balance their facial proportions and acheive a more aesthetic look may op to have these treatments.
Patients who want a reduction in the over-all size of their nose, whether it’s the projection of the nose or width of the nose may not be suitable for this procedure.

Who is not a good candidate for this procedure?

Patients who have unrealistic expectation or those going through any mental or physical trauma are not suitable to undergo any cosmetic procedure.

How long do chin fillers & jaw fillers last?

Dermal fillers used at Medaesthetics are made up of Carbohydrate Gel and last anywhere between six to twenty fours months. We do not use permanent dermal fillers.

Note: At Medaesthetic, we only use the Ultra-premium brand of dermal fillers available in Australia which lasts longer than other brands in its class.

Will I look fake or unnatural?

At Medaestheics, our prime emphesis is on delivering natural looking results when it comes to any cosmetic treatment. Most of our clients want to look fresh and youthful and not fake and overdone.

We do however, also look after clients wanting more noticeable and glamourous results.

Are dermal fillers effective?

Dermal fillers are made up of different substances. The most common fillers used at Medaestthetics are made up of a Carbohydrate Gel. The efficacy profile of these fillers is clinically well established when used by an experienced doctor or Nurse who knows the facial anatomy well.

Allergic reactions and significant vascular trauma are very infrequent. Minor, temporary side effects include temporary swelling and bruising at the site of injection.

Do I need to take time off work after this treatment?

Generally, there is minimal downtime, and most people can return to their normal activities straight after the treatment. Any downtime is usually due to swelling or bruising, which can be easily camouflaged by makeup in most cases. Fillers in the lips tend to cause more swelling in older patients and may last for up to seventy-two hours in some cases, before settling nicely.

How much does it cost?

This depends upon the amount of filler used and time associated with the treatment. Up-to five mls or more of dermal fillers can be used to achieve the desired results. Treatment may cost anywhere between $600 to $3500.

Our experienced clinical team will be able to advise you the amount of filler required to achieve noticeable but natural-looking results at the time of your consultation.
