Earlobe repair is one of the most commonly performed procedures here at Medaesthetics. This procedure aims to fix a patient’s stretched or torn earlobes and restore the normal appearance.

Patients opting for this procedure are grouped into two main categories:

  • Younger patients who have either deliberately stretched their earlobes or have accidentally torn one or both earlobes.
  • Older patients with loose or floppy earing holes due to wearing heavy earrings.

Earlobe repair is one of the most routinely performed procedures we provide.

General Information

How is the procedure performed?

The emphasis of this procedure is to restore the natural-looking shape of the earlobes by fixing any deformity.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia as a day surgery without hospitalisation.

The Pain Factor

Our highly experienced clinical team do their utmost to minimise any treatment associated pain or discomfort.

Depending upon the type of of procedure being performed, we use high-strength topical numbing cream, inhalation (laughing) gas, local anaesthesia as well as skin cooling device to make the procedure as tolerable as possible.

As per new AHPRA & Australian Medical Board guidelines, all cosmetic surgery patients will require a referral from a GP to be able to have a cosmetic surgery consultation.

All cosmetic patients will require a psychological assessment to rule out body dysmorphia before undergoing any cosmetic surgery.

How To Choose Your Treatment Provider

The decision to undergo any cosmetic treatment can be quite daunting for some people. It can be tough to find the right clinician who you can trust.

People want to choose a clinician who can listen to them carefully and understand their concerns. Someone whose clinical skills deliver safe and effective results with minimal discomfort or downtime.

We recommend that people should do their due diligence before choosing their treatment provider and not base their decision solely on the cheapest pricing in town. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
