Treatment Summary – Renuvion

Patient Suitability

The treatment is suitable for all adults with sound physical and mental health and a healthy lifestyle.
Treatment is not suitable for patients with body dysmorphic traits, emotionally volatile personalities and unrealistic expectations.
Treatment is not suitable for patients who have too much loose skin which can only be fixed with extensive surgery.

Procedure Time

60 to 150 minutes.

Discomfort Level

We aim to acheive no discomfort as the treatment area is anaesthetised using local anaesthetic, however there is still a chance of some discomfort.

Recovery Time

10-14 days of initial healing. Full recovery can take up-to several months.

Results

Results are noticeable instantly but continue to improve over time as the swelling settles and skin contracts further.

Duration of Results

Long-term (up to 5 years).

Resumption of Usual Activities

72 hours of complete rest after the procedure;
Light activities such as light house chores are allowed after 72 hours;
Walking is allowed after 3- 5 days;
Gym & Strenuous activities not allowed for a minimum of 3 weeks.

What Is Renuvion®?

Renuvion is a modern skin-tightening technology that uses Helium Gas and Radio-Frequency (RF) waves to shrink loose skin using a probe (hand-piece).

The heat generated by the patented Renuvion handpiece remodels and tightens the deeper layers of the skin without harming the superficial layers.

Unlike most other heat-based skin tightening devices available in the market today, Renuvion delivers clinically visible results in as little as a single treatment.

The Pain Factor

Depending upon the type of of procedure being performed, we use high-strength topical numbing cream, inhalation (laughing) gas, local anaesthesia as well as skin cooling device to make the procedure as tolerable as possible.

Important

As per new AHPRA & Australian Medical Board guidelines, all cosmetic surgery patients will require a referral from a GP to be able to have a cosmetic surgery consultation.

All cosmetic patients will require a psychological assessment to rule out body dysmorphia before undergoing any cosmetic surgery.
