What Is A Thread Lift?

A thread lift involves the insertion of fine threads, usually made of polypropylene or similar material, into the skin to lift and tighten sagging tissue. The threads are anchored at different points under the skin, and the excess material is trimmed off.

As the skin heals, the threads provide support to the tissue, giving it a lifted, more youthful appearance. Thread lifts can be used to treat a variety of areas, including the mid-face, neck, and jawline, to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

The procedure typically takes between 30 minutes and an hour to complete and can be performed using local anaesthesia. The results of a thread lift can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the individual’s skin and the type of thread used.

It is important to note that thread lifts are a medical procedure that should be performed by a licensed healthcare professional with experience in the administration of this treatment. As with any medical procedure, there may be risks and complications involved, and it is important to discuss these with your provider before undergoing the treatment.
