Nose augmentation with Dermal fillers (also called Non-surgical Rhinoplasty or a Non Surgical Nose Job) is one of our most popular cosmetic treatments in Perth.

Most people like to have a straight nose bridge. A non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment involves injecting a small amount of dermal filler gel in the critical areas of the nose to improve its shape and straighten its contours.

Most patients are concerned that adding more volume to the nose will make it look bigger. However, we find that adding dermal fillers to certain key areas straighten the nasal contours and visually make it appear smaller than before.

General Information: Nose Filler Treatments

Potential Risks & Complications: Nose Fillers

Dermal nose filler treatments have a relatively higher risk of complications if not performed by an inexperienced injector.

• Temporary bruising and localised swelling for a few days
• Some tenderness in the nose/ nasal area for a few days
• Allergic reaction to dermal filler gel (reversible with filler dissolving injections)
• Vascular event/necrosis (extremely rare)

The Pain Factor

Our clinical team does its utmost to minimize any treatment-associated pain or discomfort. Having fine motor skills and a gentle pair of hands are essential assets for any clinician.

As needed, we use high-strength topical numbing cream, inhalation (laughing) gas, local anesthesia, as well and skin-cooling devices applied to the nasal areas to make the procedure as tolerable as possible.

When performed correctly by an experienced clinician, Nose Filler treatment can offer a non-surgical alternative to a surgical nose job (Rhinoplasty) to some patients.

Important Info:

Nose Filler injections are effective, relatively affordable and offer little to no downtime. There are, however, some side effects associated with poorly performed procedures. It is, therefore, vital that you choose your treatment provider based upon their experience and reputation and not just on marketing hype or discount pricing.

How To Choose A Provider For Nose Fillers

The decision to undergo any cosmetic treatment can be quite daunting. It can be tough to find the right clinician who you can trust.

People want to choose a clinician who can listen to them carefully and understand their concerns. Someone whose clinical skills deliver effective and hassle-free results with minimal discomfort or downtime.

We recommend that people should do their due diligence before choosing their treatment provider and not base their decision solely on the cheapest pricing in town. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Potential Risks & Complications

All cosmetic procedures carry potential risks, complications, and treatment limitations. We advise patients to seek independent advice from an independent, appropriately qualified medical doctor before thinking about any type of cosmetic enhancement.

FAQs

Who is not a suitable candidate for this procedure?

Patients who have had a surgical rhinoplasty in the past are usually not good candidates for nose fillers.

Patients who want a reduction in the over-all size of their nose, whether it’s the projection of the nose or width of the nose may not be suitable for this procedure.

What are the potential risks associated with this procedure?

The nose is a very confined anatomical region and has a very restricted blood supply. It is critical for the treating doctor to understand the vascular anatomy of the nose and inject the filler only in allowed areas. One of the biggest risk associated with nose fillers is the risk of blockage of blood supply in one of the major arteries. This can happen if the filler is either injected directly into the artery or if the filler compresses the artery. Patients wanting Nose Fillers need to be aware of this rare complication.

What is the downtime associated with this procedure?

The procedure has little to no downtime in most cases. Minor swelling and redness associated with the procedure usually settle within one hour.

Is there a risk of blindness with this procedure?

The risk of blindness in one or both eye is an extremely rare risk which is assicated with all dermal filler treatments of the face. Millions of dermal filler treatments are performed round the world each year and only a handful of cases of temporary or permanent blindness have been reported. At Medaesthetics, we have not seen a single such complication since opening doors in 2009.

How much does it cost?

All Nose Filler treatments are only performed by Dr Jadoon. Prices starts from $500 for 0.5 mls of filler and $900 for 1 ml.
